Global Movement Talking About Death

“In accepting our mortality we can be more authentic, be more true to ourselves, take more risks, spend more time with family, make ourselves happier, and be more compassionate.”

Amanda Blainey is an author, speaker and social media activist in the growing death movement - and founder of Doing Death, an organisation that opens up authentic conversations about death and dying.

In addition to working with a local hospice, she is involved in a charity that records the life stories of terminally ill patients in the UK.

Currently, Amanda is training to be a death doula and runs a death café which is a regular popup event for people to discuss their mortality.

Her hope is that by opening up authentic conversations and embracing death and dying, she can inspire people to live life more fully.
