Ariel Karmeli

Psychosomatic Therapist and Facilitator | Do Radio Guest, Being Well with Ian Laming

Catch Ariel Karmeli on Do Radio: Being Well with Ian Laming 10th - 16th August 2026.

Ariel is a psychosomatic therapist and facilitator (he was Ian’s facilitator at one of the retreat’s he attended). He’s a child of Jewish parents from Iran and Syria, who was born in Germany and grew up in Frankfurt. He talks to Ian about his multi-cultural upbringing, and how questions around belonging, alignment, identity and relationship informed not just his approach to therapy, but also his worldview.

Ariel explains how he helps people through the various stresses and strains of life, what it means to individuate, why he wrote his new book, and what “personal enquiry”, “belonging”, and “being well” mean to him.

Ariel works with people using a combination of cognitive and body-related therapeutic approaches. He leads therapy and personal growth workshops across Europe and works in private practice in Tel-Aviv. Before his work as a therapist, Ariel was a strategic consultant for Andersen Business Consulting, where he worked with management teams on strategy, vision, execution, and organizational restructuring.
