Ben Gotting

Former Professional Rugby Player | Do Radio Guest, Tomorrow's World with Jon Kaye

Catch Ben on Do Radio: Tomorrow's World with Jon Kaye 17-23rd November 2025.

After a professional rugby career, Ben found himself drawn to something deeper: helping people build strength in body and spirit. He began by leading outdoor bootcamps for women, focused on empowerment through strength-based movement. Before long, the demand outgrew the fields.

That led to a stroke of luck and grit in Vauxhall, where Ben and his team transformed a vacant community space into the first Foundry Gym in a week. What set it apart wasn’t just the workouts, it was the heart. You could train for free or at discounted rates if you needed it.

From Vauxhall, The Foundry grew organically. Each location was self-funded, including one where they painted, assembled kit, and launched with help from family, friends, and even clients. Their philosophy: strength is about more than lifting weight, it’s about community.

Today, The Foundry operates multiple sites across London. Ben has kept the focus on small-group training, coaches who know members by name, and a genuine team vibe in every class. His strapline, “Where the strong belong”, is about welcoming anyone, anywhere, no matter their starting point.
