Chantal Kerr-Shepherd is the founder of EventCycle, a social enterprise dedicated to repurposing waste from the events industry and redirecting it to charitable and community causes.

Her work grew out of years spent as an event director, where she saw firsthand both the scale of waste produced and the opportunity to do something better with it.

Chantal speaks openly about the challenges of building a values-led business, particularly through the disruption of the COVID pandemic, and why sustainability must be rooted in action rather than intention alone.

She’s interested in how technology can support community engagement without replacing human connection, and reflects on the role of creativity, music, and care in navigating a rapidly changing, AI-shaped world.
