Having begun as a bedroom DJ and beat-maker alongside friend the rapper Dom G, with whom he eventually formed the Hip Hop band Double P, Drew went on to produce critically acclaimed albums, and his career has seen him collaborate with a host of celebrated musicians, including Estelle, Burna Boy, De La Soul, Natalie Williams, and Jay Sean.
Drew has worked in music composition and sound design for film and TV, including commissioning Don Cheadle for the film Oceans 12 and the prodiction of The SKY Sports Cricket Theme 2006, and he has won various awards, including the nomination for a Mercury Music Prize as a musical collaborator with rapper Ty (http://www.tymusic.co.uk/) for his album Upwards, in 2004.
More recently, Drew has collaborated with production partner Unity under the name of Drew Beats & Unity, taking the stage to DJ a mix of Deep House and Dance at a number of exclusive PA’s at the world-famous Ministry of Sound, and he is currently focusing on developing and producing emerging Hip Hop and Neo Soul talent through his label Soul.fi.
