Eric lives in Portland, Oregon. He was an award-winning journalist for a long time, with work published in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Newsweek and others. These days he’s a writer and an investor.
On the investing side, he’s the Managing Partner and Director of Research at Nightview Capital. He focuses on a concentrated portfolio of dominant, quality companies that he holds for the long term.
On the writing side, Eric has a book coming out later this year called Outlast, which looks at some of the world’s most enduring companies and how they’ve survived and thrived for so long.
Eric also writes a newsletter called The Nightcrawler for a site called Big Think about longevity – long-term thinking for business and for life. Which is very relevant for Eric personally, because he recently survived brain surgery against some pretty narrow odds.
