James Hollis

Dr. James Hollis is a Jungian analyst and author whose life’s work has been to help others navigate the deeper questions of meaning, identity, and transformation. With a Ph.D. in literature and over two decades as a humanities professor, Hollis transitioned into analytical psychology after confronting a profound personal crisis in midlife.

Trained at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich, he has since authored twenty books that explore the complexities of the human psyche, including The Middle Passage, Living an Examined Life, and Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life.

Based in Washington, D.C., Dr. Hollis continues to write, teach, and speak internationally, guiding others through the intricate journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
