Culture meets commerce in the life and work of Jason Knight, a South East London-born music manager, creative strategist, and cultural connector who has spent decades operating at the intersection of underground creativity and big-brand storytelling.
Jason’s career began in the early ’90s, throwing parties as a teenager and managing unsigned bands through instinct and hustle rather than formal training. He later built a ground breaking production company based in Clapham with many of the artists signing major record deals - all while learning to navigate the fragile balance between artistry, ego, and economics.
In his next chapter, Jason brought his understanding of grassroots culture into the world of marketing. With no formal background, he nonetheless led major campaigns for Red Bull, Fiat and worked with Dynamo the magician. His philosophy centres on building win-win partnerships between brands, artists, and audiences, grounded in integrity and mutual value.
Jason speaks with clarity and care about race, neurodivergence, and growing up in one of London’s most criminalised environments while attending an elite private school. His life spans contradictions, and his insights are hard-won.
