His journey into tech began after a career in construction and a personal experience of moving countries, where he encountered firsthand the loneliness many expats quietly carry.

Mike’s work is driven by a belief that technology should bring people together, not keep them scrolling alone. In building Belong, he’s focused on community, presence, and designing tools that encourage meaningful, offline relationships, while remaining curious about the future of technology and how emerging ideas, from social platforms to neural interfaces, might shape human connection.
