Patrick Grant is a designer, entrepreneur, and one of the UK’s most influential advocates for sustainable fashion and modern manufacturing. He is best known as the Creative Director of Norton & Sons and E. Tautz, and as the founder of Community Clothing — a social enterprise rebuilding British garment production by creating reliable, year-round work for factories across the UK.
Originally trained in engineering and business, Patrick entered the world of menswear in 2005 when he revived the historic Savile Row tailor Norton & Sons. He went on to breathe new life into the sporting heritage brand E. Tautz, winning Menswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.
His work is driven by a belief that well-made clothing can transform lives and communities. Through Community Clothing, he partners with more than 50 factories nationwide — including Blackburn’s Cookson & Clegg, the factory he rescued from closure — to showcase how quality, transparency, and fair wages can create a thriving, local fashion economy.
Patrick has become a familiar voice on screen as a judge on BBC One’s The Great British Sewing Bee, and as a commentator on ethical fashion, circularity, and the cultural importance of industry.
