Scott makes leadership, management and personal development less vanilla and a whole lot more human. He has spent the last 18 years building The Learning Lab, converting complex challenges into learning that pulls through into actual results. His style is engaging, practical and human – fuelled by curiosity, creativity and fancy pants marshmallows.

He believes in questioning what's possible and scaring ourselves just a wee bit every day.

His in-person work has been delivered across the UK and internationally, including Hungary, Germany, Romania, Morocco, Ireland and Australia. He was honoured to be named one of HR Magazine's Most Influential Thinkers in October 2021. Blush!

Scott is a keen writer, spinning short stories, adventures and poems on his Ungetatable Place space on Medium. He's music daft. Bowie on repeat, Pearl Jam loud and Motown sweet enough to make your toes tap. He's happiest on a bike, downhill if he's brave, road if the weather behaves, and a runner… until he gets bored at around 7k.

Scott loves to bake and occasionally turns up to learning events with homemade treats. Baking, like leadership, is a craft – shaped by patience, practice and learning from the stuff that doesn't quite work. He can bake bread, but he'll never master it. That's kind of the point.
