Three Things is one of the simplest shows on Do Radio.

Across the station’s conversations with founders, artists, adventurers, technologists and builders, we ask everyone the same question:

What’s one book, one song, and one quote that has stayed with you?

Those answers can reveal more than the big career stories. Three Things gathers those moments.

Each episode is a collage of voices from across the Do Radio archive. Different guests, different journeys, but all answering the same three questions. The result is a kind of cultural map of the people who pass through the station, and the ideas, music and words that shaped them.

The show is loosely introduced by Jon Kaye, who usually presents Do Radio’s technology programme Tomorrow’s World. Here, his role is simply to open the door and let the voices speak.

And sometimes the things people love, say more than the things they’ve achieved.
