The Voice Of Do Radio

Written by Rik ArronCreativity

There are so many wonderful voices on Do Radio.

The voices of the presenters, and the wonderfully thoughtful and unique way in which they engage with their guests.

And then, there are our amazing guests. All of them are special people who open their hearts and their minds and share themselves so generously for Do Radio.

But, there is one voice that is most prominent, but also potentially, and ironically, the one that gets overlooked most.

And that’s the voice of the station, the voice of Do Radio. James Victore.

When Adam and I first started The Buzz, our music radio station, there was only one book I bought him.

Feck Perfuction by James Victore.

I wanted us to be looking in the same direction; to be guided by the same kind of fire.

James had that.

He’s always had that.

The kind of voice that doesn’t just tell you to create. It dares you to.

So, to now be able to say that James Victore is the actual voice of Do Radio is a bit of a full-circle moment.

His voice is unique. Powerful. Warm. Uplifting.

It makes you sit up straighter. It makes you believe again.

Right now, as we take our first tentative baby steps out in the world, James is performing the small intros; the moments between shows.

A few seconds of energy, humour, heart.

But even in those little slices, you feel it. The personality. The spark. The reminder that this is not just another station.

And this is only the start.

Over time, James’s voice will weave deeper into the DNA of Do Radio.

He’ll bring messages that tie the whole Do community together—Do Lectures, Do Books, and now Do Radio.

Different mediums. Same mission: to bring people closer to the ideas, conversations, and the voices that move us.

It’s a really important role that James has taken on.

For us, it’s an honour.

For you, hopefully, it’s a gift. To have that kind of presence in your ear. To be reminded, in the middle of your day, that there’s still room to dream big, work well, and do it with soul.

That’s what Do Radio is here for.

Not noise.

Not filler.

But the kind of voice you carry with you.

And I can’t think of a better voice to do that than James Victore.

So, thank you James.

I am the Co-Founder of The Buzz Radio and, now, DO Radio. I have a long history with radio, and a deep passion for it, and the power it still has as a medium. My drive is to help re-invent radio and restore it back to its rightful place in the homes and hearts of people and communities. I am very excited by the prospect of what DO Radio can become. How the beautiful, diverse, and powerful conversations we’re creating can help to bring people t...
