Jenny Halpern Prince MBE is an entrepreneur, communications specialist and philanthropist. She founded Halpern in 1993, building it into one of the UK's leading strategic communications agencies, recognised for its work across culture, business and purpose-led brands.
Alongside her business career, Jenny has created and supported a number of charitable initiatives. She founded Access Aspiration, which has helped thousands of students from state and academy schools gain work experience and broaden their career opportunities, and she co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation, which raises awareness, funds research and promotes education around gynaecological cancers.
Awarded an MBE for her services to business and charity, Jenny continues to champion purpose-driven leadership, collaboration and social impact. Across her work, she is driven by a belief that businesses and individuals have both the opportunity and the responsibility to create positive change.
In this episode, John Lunn speaks with Jenny Halpern Prince MBE, entrepreneur, communications leader and founder of the Lady Garden Foundation, about leadership, opportunity and using business as a force for positive change.
Jenny reflects on building Halpern from a start-up agency into one of the UK's leading communications businesses, sharing lessons about entrepreneurship, authenticity and creating organisations where purpose sits alongside commercial success. She also discusses the importance of backing people, building trusted partnerships and staying true to your values as a business grows.
The conversation explores Jenny's commitment to widening opportunity through Access Aspiration, the charity she founded to help students from state and academy schools gain meaningful work experience and access careers they might never otherwise have considered. She explains how confidence, exposure and practical support can transform young people's futures.
Jenny also shares the deeply personal story behind the Lady Garden Foundation, which is working to raise awareness of the five gynaecological cancers while funding research and education. She discusses why early diagnosis matters, why conversations around women's health still need to become more open, and how education is central to improving outcomes.
Throughout the discussion, Jenny returns to a consistent message: real leadership is about taking action. Whether supporting young people, building purposeful businesses or tackling difficult health challenges, progress comes from showing up, collaborating and simply getting on with it.
