Jon Berry is a co-founder of Tyler Grange, an environmental and planning consultancy known for challenging conventional approaches to development, nature and value creation.

Originally trained as a planner, Jon has spent his career working at the intersection of land use, ecology, policy and leadership. His work focuses on how systems — regulatory, organisational and cultural — shape outcomes for people and the natural environment, and how those systems can be redesigned to deliver better long-term results.

Jon is also the founder of The Kindness Forecast, a platform exploring kindness not as a soft value, but as a practical force that shapes behaviour, performance and decision-making in complex systems. Through this work, he argues that kindness, trust and participation are essential components of resilient organisations — particularly in periods of uncertainty and change.

At Tyler Grange, Jon has helped pioneer progressive workplace practices, including transparent pay structures and a four-day working week, embedding values into how the organisation operates rather than treating them as an add-on. His leadership approach challenges the idea that commercial success and human wellbeing are in tension.

Across his work, Jon is interested in how we bring people with us through change — recognising that systems only work when the humans inside them are able to engage, belong and contribute meaningfully.
