Lesley Ewen is a multidisciplinary artist, actor, and performance teacher whose work explores what it means to be fully human. A long-standing member of the teaching faculty at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), she has spent years helping actors move beyond technique and into a deeper, more liberated relationship with imagination, presence, and self.

Born in London and raised between Canada and Australia, she has combined her work in theatre with a lifelong spiritual inquiry, drawing on traditions such as Advaita Vedanta and the Bhagavad Gita, alongside decades of personal practice and lived experience.

She encourages her students to cultivate three essential capacities, freedom, imagination, and discernment, not only as tools for performance, but as foundations for living.

Across her work, she returns to the idea that beneath the noise of modern life lies something both simple and profound: an awareness that we are more than the stories we tell ourselves. By learning to stay present, even in discomfort and by reconnecting with what she describes as our innate “sweetness,” Lesley invites others to rediscover a more grounded, creative, and compassionate way of being.
