Chido Govera

Farmer, Campaigner and Educator

When Chido was 7 she quit school to look after her brother and grandmother. At 11 she was given the chance to learn to grow mushrooms, and she found a way to do so using the waste from failed crops.

This changed the course of life for her and her community.

Having founded The Future of Hope organisation, Chido now teaches others to grow mushrooms as a sustainable source of food and income in the impoverished regions of the world, helping others to change their lives too.
