Dan is an eternal student of human behaviour and creativity.

A twenty-first-century director and filmmaker, he has directed music videos, commercials, and over 50 short films in his career, and has been awarded a Cannes Lion, 1.4 Director Showcase, and the African Cristal Festival Grand Prix.

First seen behind the camera professionally at sixteen, he opened his first film production company, If Not Why Not, at 22 years old and successfully completed thirty plus productions. He then served as Creative Director at the prolific Cape Town film and production company, AVA.

Six months later he started his independent YouTube channel, DanTheDirector1, where he has over 770k subscribers and has amassed over 35 million views.
