David and Alison Lea-Wilson

Co-founders of Halen Môn

“Imagine what you can achieve if you don’t just stay in the middle, move to the edge.”

To be off centre is the meaning of eccentricity. David and Alison believe that the most interesting things happen around the edges.

After graduating from Bangor University, where they had fallen in love with each other and the island of Anglesey, they started looking for ways that would allow them to continue to live and work in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (alongside bringing up three children.)

These have ranged from oyster growing, being a wholesale fishmonger, running a lobster hatchery and running Anglesey Sea Zoo for 23 years. Their last decade together has been focused on starting The Anglesey Sea Salt Company, Halen Môn.
