Mansura Khanam is a Bangladeshi-born artist, photographer, and educator based between New York City and Dublin. Her work explores themes of confinement, war, migration, trauma, and tenderness—often through photography, film, painting, and poetry. Most recently, she has been developing a visual narrative of her family's multi-generational history between Bangladesh and the U.S.
Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York, Photoville, ICP, and MoMA PS1, and featured in CNN, WSJ, and more.
For over a decade, Mansura has also worked with a grassroots nonprofit using the arts to support young people exiting the criminal justice system.
