Gerald’s talk titled: ‘Bees, Man and the threat of extinction; what we can do’ is a fascinating talk about what Bees do and how important they are to the environment we live in. He talks about the very real threat the Bees are facing and how we can help.

Gerald was a University Lecturer in Social Science and moved to Wales in 1980. He was then a dairy farmer for ten years before becoming a professional beekeeper.

His farm has 500 hives of bees, an exhibition centre, shop and tearoom. His overriding aim in doing these things was to make a living by doing what he enjoyed doing, ‘It doesn't always work, but it's better than a career and an office.’
