The Present Is A Beautiful Gift

Kenneth Shinozuka
Designer of Smart Socks & winner of the Scientific American Science in Action Award in 2014
“You are you. You are a miracle. We are all miracles. You are occupying one of the greatest silvers of time of this vast thing that we call history. You are incredibly lucky to be who you are. To be where you are.”

At the age of 15, Kenneth designed Smart Socks - a smart device for his grandfather, who has Alzheimer's disease.

From solving his own family’s problem to serving many more families and communities across the nation, he is intensely dedicated to protecting the safety of those who may wander or fall and improving the wellbeing of their caregivers.

Kenneth's tells us why he accepts things the way they are. The present is a beautiful gift.
