That is the belief of DO Book Co. founder, Miranda West. Miranda has worked in the book industry for over twenty years.
Back in 2011, after watching a DO Lecture online, she got in touch. She had a great idea. To help others go and DO, she suggested working with some of our most popular speakers to turn their talks into books that inspire action.
And of course, we’re all for good ideas. So in 2013, The DO Book Co. was born. It remains an independent publishing house to this day. The aim is the same now as it was back then.
To recreate the same possibility of positive change found in our talks, but in book form. Whether that’s mastering a new craft, creating a mindset shift, or offering a shot of inspiration to help get you started.
Each book is written by an expert. DO Lectures speakers whose stories and ideas have inspired others to go and DO. They are bite-sized and practical.
They focus on the doing rather than the background theory. Each book is beautifully designed and concisely crafted. They will inspire you. They will make the stuff you love easier to DO.
Not only that, they help us DO too. 5% of the proceeds from each sale is given back to The DO Lectures to help us achieve our aim of making positive change.
These are little books. But they DO big work.
There are now over forty books in the collection, spanning design, business, wellbeing and sustainable living.
DO Books have been featured in the Guardian, Observer and the Financial Times.
They come in different languages and can be found in bookstores around the world.
You can also find them in the Design Museum, MOMA and the Tate.
Plus they come in digital and audiobook formats too.
