Anna McCracken is many, many things. She did an amazing talk at Do Wales 2025, she’s written a fantastic Do book called Do Wildness (out this week!), she’s a trained social worker, she’s a wilderness guide and she’s a human rights lawyer.
Anna is also a survivor, having spent months in hospital getting over a deadly blood disease… which spurred her to spending nearly a decade travelling across Australia, living a nomadic life in her Landcruiser, Cosmic Dancer. On that journey, Anna fought to protect the rights of Aboriginal communities in Australia, living with them, understanding their ways and needs and then translating that back to the government so that legal frameworks could reflect those ways and needs fairly.
Anna’s book Do Wildness is out THIS WEEK. It talks about how we can reconnect to the mysterious, wild parts of ourselves, by going into ourselves and really paying attention to the energies around us. Anna give us ideas and tools to help us do that, and help us figure out who we really are. It’s a great book. I hope you all buy a copy.
