Bio
Heather LeFevre began her career in strategy, working across advertising agencies and marketing organisations, and building a reputation in that field, including authoring a best-selling book.
Her trajectory shifted following a period of chronic pain, brought on by a combination of stress and major surgery. Conventional treatments offered limited relief, prompting her to explore alternative approaches. Through this process, she discovered craniosacral therapy and Functional Patterns exercise — modalities that became central to her recovery and ongoing work.
Today, Heather operates as a health and wellbeing strategist, focusing on how individuals can better understand and work with their own bodies. Her work emphasises resilience, self-awareness, and the integration of physical and emotional health — reflecting a broader shift from external systems thinking to internal systems intelligence.
Show notes
Heather LeFevre joins the podcast to explore a different angle on a familiar theme, how we function in an age of increasing pressure and uncertainty.
Across recent episodes, we’ve been looking at systems, what’s changing, what’s under strain, and what isn’t working. This conversation shifts that lens inward, focusing on the body as a system in its own right.
Heather’s background is in strategy, but her direction changed after experiencing chronic pain, which forced a rethink of how she understood resilience and performance. What she describes is less about fixing a problem, and more about understanding what’s happening underneath, how stress, tension and experience are held physically, not just mentally.
It raises a broader point: many of our systems, particularly healthcare, are designed to respond when something breaks, but are less effective at helping us maintain the conditions to function well in the first place. At the same time, modern life is pushing us further away from that, more sedentary, more stimulated, and often more disconnected from how we actually feel.
