Ian grew up a working-class boy in Bristol, UK. With a professional pianist as a father, music was always going to feature in his life. But no one would quite have imagined he'd become a professional drummer with his first paid gig aged 7, and then go on to join the globally successful rock band, Kasabian. When not touring or recording with Kasabian, he often plays small jazz/funk gigs in and around Bristol. Including for friend of the DO Lectures, James Morton.
