Fake Goal Or Real Goal?

Written by David HieattWriting

Yesterday I spent 5 hours in A+E waiting to see if my best mate was ok.

I hadn’t slept for 24 hours.

I had eaten some raw carrots, radish and celery.

The glass window in the waiting room had no blinds.

The sunlight hit my face relentlessly.

Then I got my once-a-year migraine.

Flashing lights, la la la.

But I said to myself, I just couldn’t have a migraine right now.

So I went and sat in my car for 5 minutes.

Did some Wim Hoff breathing, and it went?

And I went back and sat in the waiting room.

The whole day got me thinking about what was important and what wasn’t:

Seem like real goals until you get them

Bigger house

Second home

Faster car

More followers than…

Earning more than….

Being C.E.O.

Real goals

In control of your time

Joy

Health

Friendships

Trust

Work that gives you meaning
