A quality that links Rachel’s many and varied initiatives has been described as ‘human-kindness’.
Moneypenny, co-founded with her brother, has a 1300+ workforce and an international reputation as ‘the happiest office in this land’. Rachel then founded the social mobility charity WeMindTheGap - changing the futures of under-served young people with love and care - while her Spanish property business celebrates local resources, talents and landscapes. Each puts human connection and kindness at the heart of their mission.
In 2019 Rachel’s world was turned upside down with the sudden death of her daughter. This was quickly followed by the isolation of COVID. These two concurrent events gave Rachel a new respect for the saying ‘accept what we cannot change and change what we cannot accept’, and an even greater belief in the need to activate human-kindness in the people and organisations that shape our daily lives.
