Maggie Doyne

“I want to create a world that I want to see every day.”

Most people on a gap year are content with just seeing the world and not to try and change it. But on a dry riverbed in the foothills of the Himalayas, one young woman decided to help one young girl, hoping to make one small difference.

That woman was Maggie Doyne and in the blink of an eye – and with a lot of hard work from a lot of people – that hope turned into a home, a school and so much more.

Maggie is the Founder of Kopila Valley, the incredible initiative that has blossomed into BlinkNow, a nonprofit foundation serving an ever-growing, ever-inspiring community in Surkhet, Nepal

Maggie won The prestigious Do Something award in America for all that she has done so far.
